When Arma, Kansas’ World War II veterans returned home, they threw a community wide party. The event has perpetuated into a well-loved festival for more than 75 years.

Parade line ups moved to Arma City Hall
Staging and line ups of parade participants for the children's and veteran-led parades on Saturday, Aug. 12, will take place at Arma City Hall due to road closures near Northeast Elementary. Children's parade: please be at city hall by 9:15 a.m. For main parade: by 9:30 a.m. to allow volunteers to organize the event.
8pm 8.11: Eli Alger & The Faster Horses
Nashville country & western recording artists (and Iowa boys) Eli Alger & The Faster Horses make their Kansas debut at the Arma VJ Homecoming! The band is making waves with their new release "Blue Bell Bottoms" and "Rednexico." Listen to Blue Bell Bottoms.Bands are sponsored by Fox Insurance Agency, Jay Hatfield, Pairott Head Liquors and Wiseman's Discount Tires.
8pm 8.12: Classic rock's TORN
With three lead singers, TORN plays and sings a WIDE variety of rock anthems and ballads of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. This SW Missouri band is a crowd favorite!
SEK Bed Derby 2023!
Beds with wheels race on Washington Street in downtown Arma right after the 10 a.m. parade Saturday, August 12. Grab four of your friends – four drive and one rides. Decorate your bed and be part of the parade. First place receives $500 for best decorated and another $500 for first place in the race.
8am 8.12: Run for Our Veterans 5K
Join us 8 am Saturday, August 12, for the inaugural Run for Our Veterans 5K. Race start will be near 5th and Washington streets, near the southeast corner of Arma City Park. Proceeds from the race benefit VetLinks, an organization that aids combat veterans and their families. $30 includes T-shirt. Register below!
