When Arma, Kansas’ World War II veterans returned home, they threw a community wide party. The event has perpetuated into a well-loved festival for more than 75 years.

8/10 1990s rock: The Mixtapes
Come as you are and rock with The Mixtapes, ambassadors of grunge and all things 90s rock. This Springfield, Mo.-based band is a crowd favorite among University of Arkansas students, Southwest Missouri and now Southeast Kansas.
SEK Bed Derby 2024!
Beds with wheels race on Washington Street in downtown Arma right after the 10 a.m. parade Saturday, August 10. Grab four of your friends – four drive and one rides. Decorate your bed and be part of the parade. First place receives $300 for best decorated and another $300 for first place in the race.
Run for Our Veterans 5K
Join us 8 am Saturday, August 10, for the 2nd annual Run for Our Veterans 5K. Race start will be near 5th and Washington streets, near the southeast corner of Arma City Park. Proceeds from the race benefit VetLinks, an organization that aids combat veterans and their families. $30 includes T-shirt. Register below!
