FRIDAY, AUGUST 12
9 AM – Arma Homecoming Golf Tournament, $250 entry for 4-person scramble, Woodland Hills Golf Course, 2414 Horton St., Fort Scott. Prizes awarded for each flight. Lunch by Blue Spoon included, adult beverages available. Contact Russ Cramer to register, 620-704-3189 or rcramer@usd246.org
5 to 7 PM – Tickets for Saturday night drawing for prizes and cash, $1 per ticket, in front of veterans memorial
5 to 11 PM – Carnie King Entertainment Carnival, mega pass $15
5 to 11 PM – American Legion Post 182 beer stand
5 to 8 PM – Car Show, downtown Arma, hosted by Rollin’ Nostalgia Car Club. Chairmen Ira Reiken and Jack Alvested
6 PM – Arma Homecoming Softball Tournament, McDonald ball field and Northeast High School softball field, $150 per team entry. Chairman Robby Phillips
6 to 8 PM – Fishing Derby, Hookie Park, south of Arma swimming pool, sponsored by Albers Marine of Arma. Age categories: 6 and under, 7-10, 11-4. Prizes for all entrants. Chairpersons Shawn and Dori Pipkin
7 to 10 PM – All-ages dance with DJ Jimmy Willard, grandstand
SATURDAY, AUGUST 13
7 AM – Registration for 5K run in front veterans memorial, Arma City Park. Entry fee $25. Free T-shirt to first 50 registered runners. Register early at runsignup.com, sponsored by Northeast PTO. Chairperson Barbie Wicker
7:30 AM – 5K run, start in front of Arma City Park. Medals awarded to first and second-place male and female winners in these age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-plus
400-meter Fun Run immediately follows 5K run. Ribbons awarded to top 4 girls and boys winners.
7:30 to 10 AM – Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast, east of veteran memorial. Sponsored by Northeast PTO.
7:30 AM – Registration for Mud Volleyball, 800 Crawford St. next to Arma swimming pool. $60 entry fee for 6-person team. Team category: men, women and co-ed (must be 3/3). Winning team from each category receives champion T-shirts and registration fee of $60.
8 AM to ? – Vendor booths open, downtown Arma
9 AM to 7 PM – Tickets for Saturday night drawing for prizes and cash, $1 per ticket, in front of veterans memorial
10 AM – 76th Annual VJ Homecoming Parade, judged entries must line up by 9:30 a.m. at Northeast Elementary School. Float entries to be judged on capturing Homecoming theme, workmanship and overall appearance. Chairpersons Mike and Barbara McLeod

Southeast Kansas BED DERBY $1,800 in cash prizes. Entries must participate in parade. Top 3 judged most creative parade entries receive 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $100. Additional $900 in cash prizes to top 3 in race. Chairman Larry Black

11 AM to 11 PM – Carnie King Entertainment carnival, $15 mega pass sessions: 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
11 AM to 11 PM – American Legion Post 182 beer stand
11 AM to 12:30 PM – People’s Choice Bed Derby entries, $1 a vote for public’s favorite bed race team. Winner will receive $100.
11 AM – CHILDREN’S GAMES, near grandstand. Chairperson Jayne Heim. Prizes for each event and age group are: 1st carnival armband, 2nd $10, 3rd $5

1 PM – Southeast Kansas BED DERBY, You made your bed, now race it! Teams of 5 will race in heats of two on Washington Street, downtown Arma. 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $100.
Noon – Cornhole Tournament begins, Arma American Legion. Cash prizes awarded based on number of teams.
2 PM – Women’s Rolling Pin Throwing Contest, ages 16 and older, Arma City Park shelter house.
Women’s Nailing Driving Contest, ages 16 and older, follows, Arma City Park shelter house.
3 PM– Registration for Junior Bathing Beauty Contest, northwest corner of Arma City Park. No entry fee. Trophies awarded for top 3 boys and top 3 girls in these age divisions: 6 to 11 months, 1 year, 2 years old, 3 years old. Chairpersons Joyce Klinkon, Rita DeGruson and Cindy Neeley. Contestants must wear swimsuit attire.
6 PM – Cakewalk, near grandstand, sponsored by Kirbie Nutt, Northeast High School FCCLA
7 PM – Heads and Tails Game, audience participation prior to prize drawing. Winner to receive $100, sponsored by Sami's Legacy in care of Deborah and Jay Russell
7:15 PM – PRIZE DRAWING, thousands of dollars in prizes and money, grandstand
8:15 to 10:30 PM – 80s cover band 80 & Out. Bring your lawnchairs.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 14
10:30 AM– Registration for the ARMAzing Race, in front of veteran memorial, $20 per team of four. Fans of the TV show Amazing Race can take part in their own adventure. Using clues, teams will race by foot to try to best their competitors. Cash prize to winning team based on entries.
11 AM – ARMAzing Race begins, cash prizes awarded to top team. Chairpersons Lori Lavery and Jill Kuhel
11:30 AM – Registration for Co-ed Bocce Tournament, north shelter house, Arma City Park, $5 per person for teams of two. Chairpersons Greg and Tracy Bogina
Noon – Bocce Tournament begins
Noon to 6 PM – Carnie King Entertainment Carnival, $15 mega pass: 1 to 5 p.m.
1 to 5 PM– American Legion Post 182 beer stand
1 to 3 PM – Music in the park by Dillon Leggett, playing country and classic rock
